Our History

Sustainable Global Consultancy Firm (SGCF), founded on May 4, 2019, by RWIGEMA Fred, is a visionary global leader in climate and sustainability consulting. With headquarters in Kigali, Rwanda and expanded presence in Juba, South Sudan, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, SGCF is driven by a powerful purpose — to sustain the world. SGCF began partnering with international organizations such as Vantage Africa School Leadership from Kenya in October 2020 and Bala Vikasa People Development Training Center (PDTC) from India in July 2023. In July 2024, our Founder and CEO, RWIGEMA Fred, participated in the Community Driven Sustainable Development (CDSD) program in India, representing SGCF in the field of capacity building. He was awarded an international professional certificate and became certified in the CDSD Program.

In May 2024, SGCF was officially registered in Rwanda as a consulting firm and proudly became a member of the Association of Climate Change Officers (ACCO). We specialize in strategic, climate-smart solutions that empower institutions, strengthen systems, and promote sustainable prosperity across Africa and globally. SGCF is also a Project Management Institute Authorized Training Partner (PMI-ATP), enabling the delivery of globally recognized project management training. SGCF is a Project Management Institute Authorized Training Partner (PMI-ATP) for the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and is a recognized member of PMI. SGCF has expanded its footprint to include operational presence in South Sudan (Juba), Tanzania (Dar es Salaam), and most recently Sierra Leone, solidifying its role as a pan-African and globally engaged consulting firm.

Founder’s Academic Background

RWIGEMA Fred is a PhD candidate in Climate Change and Sustainable Development at the University of Dar es Salaam. He holds two MBAs in Finance and Project Management, a Master’s in International Relations and Diplomacy, and professional certifications including PMP, CPA (Advanced), Certified Climate Change Professional (CC-P), and Monitoring and Evaluation expertise. He also holds an international certification in Community Driven Sustainable Development from India and is a trainer in strategic leadership, proposal writing, and data analysis.

In his professional career, Fred has held several leadership positions, including serving as Director and Member of the Board for institutions such as Mukuru Money Transfer (South Africa). He has also worked as a Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, and Senior Trainer, demonstrating his versatility, governance expertise, and deep understanding of institutional development and project sustainability.
